City Sidewalks, Busy Sidwalks, Dressed in Holiday Style...

Can't help but get excited as I walk around the city. It's nearly that time of year!

In my neighborhood:

Gramercy Park Flower Shop is in the process of transforming their windows and interior. The florist hangs hundreds of ornaments, all for sale, from their ceiling. Beautiful, unique selections of holiday decor plus some of the prettiest floral arrangements you'll ever see!

Across the street, Rolf's is all set!Perhaps the Merriest Bar in Manhattan; it's an experience!
Invitation to Madison Square Park's Holiday Celebration. We went last year and had a wonderful time. Yes, it was freezing. Yes, we still had some Shake Shack!

Around the City:

Rockettes are ready to spring into action! Anyone else here the rumor this is the last year of the Rockettes? Can there be a Radio City Christmas Spectacular without these high kickers?

Macy's, Manhattan, and Christmas just all go together in my book. Although not one of my favorite retailers you have to hand it to them. Outstanding windows, which are already on display! Santaland! Holiday Puppet Show! The Thanksgiving Day Parade! It's a Miracle on 34th street!

And this afternoon, Grand Opening of The Pond at Bryant Park and Holiday Marketplace! A little later than usual, I remember spending one of my favorite Halloweens at The Pond.

Let's not forgot the whimsical displays at Bloomies and Lord & Taylor!

At HOME:

Some of you know or remember reading about my family's Christmas traditions. Well, Saturday starts the Chrisma-fication process at my parent's house! Yes, its very early. Yes, we are crazy. No, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Let the Merry-ment begin!

Deck The Halls...

Tuesday's Tartan Tribute: I want to have a trim-a-tree party just so I have an excuse to bounce around our apartment in this dress.
Couldn't you just picture it...?

Imagine I may have to, not sure if I can justify this price tag. Dear Santa...

Until tomorrow, Fa la la la la, la la la la...

Mad About Plaid...

I know I have mentioned before how tartan just tickles my heart, so here are some of my favorite plaid finds.

Rouge Plaid Ruffle Hem Coat from Fred Flare. How cute, and amazingly priced!

Bowie Ruffled Flannel Shirt from Rugby.

Brushed Plaid Shirtdress from Rugby.

Wool Pea Coat in black watch plaid from Lands' End.

Peppermint Tartan Skirt from Vineyard Vines.

Cosmetic Case from Dooney and Burke. There whole tartan collection is adorable.

Tartan Ring from Tifi at ETSY.

Romper Nightie from Abercrombie.

For the boys.

Tartan Ties from Ralph Lauren. Tommy Hilfinger has great tartan ties too.

Tartan Slim Jeans from Rugby. If only I could get my boy in these.

Flannel Workshirt from Rugby.

I could go on and on....Happy Monday!

Shout out to my local police precinct...

So, last week my bag was stolen.

Now I admit it was partly my fault.Aloofly walking the dog and playing around with my berry made me an easy target. Nonetheless, when some bitch swipes your new Longchamp tote off your shoulder, it really does suck. Especially when you carry your life around with you.

Anyway; Did you know...

...the theft of my bag is considered grand larceny?

...that the detectives are in hot pursuit of this bitch because she used my metro card? Amazing what they can do/trace! Can you believe I had a metro card in my wallet?

...the police station is a great place to for an ego boost? Nice young men in uniform fawning over you as they assist in filing your complaint. Going to station again today, no complaints here.

...I love a man in uniform? Hahahaha...

...I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can? Anyone else looking forward to Pedro nailing A-Rod with one up and in? Oops, did I actually put that out there for all to see?!

...I'm mad for plaid? I need this skirt.

Who's tripping down the streets of the city...

...Smilin' at everybody she sees.

So as I type this post I am on hold with yet another credit card company. This time, at least a decent tune (note lyrics above: my mom used to sing me to sleep with this song) is chiming in between the "Please continue to hold." Just in case you didn't know, it is rather unpleasant having your bag stolen with all it's contents (minus phone, thankful it was in my hands during this incident).

Since I have been absent for a while; here's a quick update:

-I went on vacation. Spent a week in Paradise with the boy. Actual we went here but it was perfect!

-We are fast approaching my favorite time of year. Yes, Christmas!

-My birthday is also coming up. Yikes, can't quite grasp getting old.

-I have not yet found the perfect Christmas cards to send merry wishes to all those I love.

-I have started Christmas shopping.

-Like usual, racking my brain for gift ideas for the boy. Suggestions welcome!

-Feeling ify about my Halloween costume.

-J Crew is boring the hell out of me. Lilly's newest line in BLAH. But O, Diane! She hasn't disappointed me.

More to come...
Happy Monday! Hope to hear from you all.

"Dumbo could always fly...

... He just needed a magic feather."

Who's loving Chuck Bass and Blair? How fitting that after catching up on Gossip Girl, the boy and I end up spending our evening in the same place as Ed Westick. Love him!

Also loved H-Duff's t-shirt selection, in last nights episode. I am however questioning her motives. Will I have to add her to my list? I hope not.

Tomorrow, a real post, pinky promise. A true love story; it's my parent's anniversary!

Season of Discontent...

Now that what shall be known as the season of our discontent has ended, I can enjoy one of my favorite times of year.

There is nothing like fall! The cool crispness in the air, the colors of fall, the smells, the clothes, the fresh start the month of October has brought the boy and I, the excitement because my most favorite time of year is just around the corner, I could go on and on and on...

On that note, I promise to update more. Until next time...

Happy Fall Y'All! What's your favorite thing about fall?
